JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Mammoth are looking for a motivated student or recent graduate to join our marketing team for the 2026-27 season. This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week through the end of the NHL season. This position will support the marketing manager and director in executing advertising and promotional campaigns that support ticket sales, youth programs, community relations initiatives, brand campaigns, fan engagement, and more.


This internship will provide hands-on experience in sports marketing and help you develop marketable job skills as you pursue a career in sports marketing. The role will also provide exposure to modern marketing tools, including project management platforms, Marketo email marketing systems, app push notification platforms, and AI tools that support campaign planning, copy development, research, organization, and marketing workflows.


This is a part-time position based in Sandy, UT.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that drive revenue, engage fans, and develop new fans.
  • Provide marketing support for internal departments and help them achieve their overarching business goals.
  • Support the marketing and email specialist in writing, editing, building, testing, scheduling, and managing email marketing campaigns in Marketo.
  • Assist with building and managing app push notification campaigns, including campaign setup, copy entry, audience coordination, scheduling, QA, and performance tracking.
  • Help maintain marketing calendars for email, app push, advertising, promotional campaigns, youth programs, brand initiatives, and fan engagement campaigns.
  • Work with the brand creative team to create persuasive collateral for marketing, ticketing, corporate partnerships, team store, game presentation, community relations, and public relations.
  • Support our corporate partnership teamโ€™s campaign activations and executions.
  • Support for campaigns across all internal marketing inventory.
  • Maintaining campaign creative, copy, and flighting throughout the season to ensure cohesion across all channels.
  • Maintain consistency of marketing communications across multiple media channels and traffic deliverables on time and on strategy.
  • Manage and fulfill internal and external print projects.
  • Use approved AI tools to support marketing workflows, including research, first-draft copy, campaign organization, content versioning, and process efficiency.
  • Protect the reputation of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing or a related field.
  • Available to work 30 hours a week, including some nights and weekends.
  • Previous marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience building and managing email marketing campaigns preferred.
  • Experience with Marketo preferred.
  • Experience building and managing app push notification campaigns preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital campaign QA, audience segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Interest in learning how AI can support marketing strategy, copywriting, research, project management, and campaign execution.
