Job Description:

The Deputy Program Manager works with the Program Manager to execute all phases of programs from inception through completion. Help drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs or subsystems of major programs. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statement of Work, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Act as secondary customer contact for program activities, assists in coordinating program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas. This position will be supporting the Exquisite Imaging Solutions Business Area in the Space Superiority & Imaging Division.

Essential Functions:

โ€ข Support the management of programs involving advanced electro-optical technology for space applications that are of significant strategic importance to the business area
โ€ข Accountable, along with the Program Manager, for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program through all phases, inception to completion
โ€ข Establish and execute program plans in a firm fixed price program construct
โ€ข Drive program execution, support capture management efforts of additional scope, and support technology investment plans
โ€ข Effectively communicate within the team, upward with internal executive leadership, and externally with the customer to influence stakeholders for business success
โ€ข Work collaboratively with the functional organizations to ensure that all resources are available, capable, and empowered to meet program goals

Qualifications:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

โ€ข Prior successful program leadership role including earned value IPT role
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Ability to manage and analyze budgets and cost controls

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
