Contract Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $29.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Contract Specialist to support a leading healthcare organization in the Houston area. This role plays a key part in provider network operations by supporting contract administration, reimbursement tracking, and provider communications.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and research Letters of Intent (LOIs) and prepare documentation for committee review, including network need analysis
  • Monitor reimbursement updates (e.g., TMHP) and collaborate with Contract Administrators on necessary service form updates
  • Prepare and distribute provider welcome packets and denial notifications
  • Track and manage internal and external service requests, ensuring timely follow-up within established deadlines
  • Maintain and update provider data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and process single case agreements and related contract documentation
  • Support provider onboarding and contracting workflows to ensure efficient processing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare or managed care experience required
  • Working knowledge of provider contracting and reimbursement processes preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and database systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
