Complete job description -We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and security solutions, and will play a critical role in ensuring network stability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide onsite support for network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance.
โ€ข Install, configure, and manage Cisco routers and switches.
โ€ข Single point of contact and SME for all managed network operations and network security related activities
โ€ข Assist Customer network engineering team to develop enterprise network design and strategy
โ€ข Identify additional business and project opportunities through coordination with Customer Network engineering lead and SMEs
โ€ข Perform network monitoring, issue diagnosis, and timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
โ€ข LAN (Data center & Branch office LAN): Managing core and access switches configuration changes, Code upgrade activities and troubleshooting any system level issues
โ€ข WAN (Data Center & Branch office) Managing WAN Routers, ISP switches configuration changes, Code upgrade activities, QOS & WAN changes and troubleshooting any system level issues
โ€ข Firewalls: Managing day to day operational configuration changes, Troubleshooting application access related issues, NAT/Access rules, and routing related changes
โ€ข Load Balancers: Managing day to day operational configuration changes, Code upgrade activities, Troubleshooting application access related issues and new application deployment, cert renewal activities.
โ€ข Telecom support activities: Phone configuration and troubleshooting, Teams and IP Phone configurations and troubleshooting, Coordinate with vendors, call quality issues troubleshooting and inbound/outbound calling issues troubleshooting
โ€ข Coordination with Vendors/Service providers: Opening tickets with service providers and vendor escalations based on the escalation matrix
โ€ข Assist in implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco SD-WAN environments.
โ€ข Manage and support Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls for network security.
โ€ข Work with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and policy enforcement (preferred).
โ€ข Coordinate with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders for incident resolution and project delivery.
โ€ข Perform network upgrades, patches, and planned maintenance activities.
โ€ข Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration backups.
โ€ข Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and best practices.
โ€ข Configuration migration and support (remote) for Firewall HW Replacement on the existing infrastructure
โ€ข ITIL Processes: Incident, Problem, Change and SR Management and Participating CAB meetings to represent network scheduled changes
