Network Administrator

Huntsville, AL | Direct Hire | Full-Time

DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a well-established Huntsville organization to identify a talented Network Administrator who will play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working across networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
  • Administer and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and user permissions.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and system issues.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewall administration and EDR monitoring.
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware refresh initiatives.
  • Execute backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Document network configurations, policies, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Partner with internal IT staff on infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and strategic technology initiatives.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance activities and critical issues.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Support.

  • Strong experience with:- Windows Server environments

    • Active Directory
    • DHCP and DNS
    • Firewalls and VPN technologies
    • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments is a plus.
