This position is 100% on-site and there will be an in-person interview.
Position Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer will provide advanced technical expertise in the design, configuration, monitoring, documentation, and maintenance of network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related hardware. The role will also support network topology evaluations, system upgrades, change control processes, and troubleshooting of wired and wireless network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless network environments.
  • Support complex switching and routing environments, including enterprise-level routing protocols and hierarchical network architectures.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network infrastructure components.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues affecting wired, wireless, and virtual local area network (VLAN) environments.
  • Identify, track, and coordinate lifecycle management activities, including hardware and software upgrades to network assets.
  • Evaluate network topology and recommend improvements to enhance redundancy, scalability, resilience, and overall network performance.
  • Maintain and update accurate network documentation, including configuration files, diagrams, asset inventories, and change records.
  • Follow established change management procedures to document hardware and software requirements related to system and network modifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and technical requirements aligned with business needs.
  • Provide support during scheduled maintenance windows and respond to after-hours network outages as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive, hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and maintaining complex LAN and WAN
  • environments, including advanced routing and switching technologies.
  • Experience working within large, multi-site or mission-critical network environments requiring high availability and redundancy.
  • Proven proficiency with enterprise routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and advanced switching concepts (e.g., spanning tree, trunking, SVI, VRRP, VPC, EtherChannel).
  • Experience configuring and supporting Cisco routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, and IOS-based systems within hierarchical network architectures.
  • Practical experience supporting enterprise firewall platforms; experience with Cisco Firepower and/or Palo Alto firewalls preferred.
  • Experience with wireless LAN controllers and network management tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Experience working within formal change management environments and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto firewall platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Cisco SD-Access or other software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
  • Hybrid or cloud-integrated networking environments - e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
