Description
Overview of the Network Solutions Manager
The Network Solutions Manager will be a vital member of the Wayspring Network Solutions team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Network Strategy.
As a Manager, you will be responsible for creating client- and market-specific strategies; owning the facilitation and project management with the client team; and connecting dots back into our long-term solution development. Our client engagement requires insights, opportunity identification, and tactical planning related to SUD provider network performance and the value of care delivery. We use these learnings to inform health plan strategies to drive improved care outcomes and efficiency in the cost of care delivered. Your contributions will help our team deliver meaningful data on what is working in SUD care across state markets, and you will help refine our analytical toolkit and build a scalable model.
The role will provide growth opportunities for personal and career development including regular interactions with executive leadership at Wayspring and working across departments to help develop insights that are clear and grounded in national care standards in the rapidly evolving addiction treatment landscape. While the individual will work primarily within the Network Solutions team and with clients, the role will also interface directly with key business functions including Market Operations, Clinical Operations, Enterprise Solutions, Actuary, and Growth.
Why Wayspring?
We are passionate about breaking barriers alongside those facing substance use disorder. Whether you're in the field or in the corporate office - our mission is felt, and your impact is recognized. There is no inner circle, and we all have a seat at the table. Leaders are accessible and silos are avoided. We respect your craft and love to be challenged. We invest not only in our mission, but in each other. Internal promotions and cross departmental training are the norm - you grow, we grow.
Responsibilities of the Network Solutions Manager
The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership of projects at a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. The Network Solutions Manager has a primary focus on designing and implementing strategies that optimize our health plans' provider networks by translating complex behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) claims data into actionable insights that inform network strategy, payer recommendations, and care quality improvement.
This role is expected to act as a leader in client delivery and engagement - driving market strategy, building client relationships and trust, and maintaining a focus on activation. Our approach is highly collaborative with our client partners, not only bringing insights but understanding what it takes to drive implementation. Within our team, we are all hands-on learners and doers. We roll up our sleeves to dig into the data, ask hard questions, research deeply, and independently generate original work. This role is much more strategic and also much more involved than a general project or client manager.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Strategic Planning: Using Wayspring's proprietary analytics tools to develop and execute network strategies that support efficiency and quality of care. This often involves analyzing market trends, provider performance, and regional needs.
  • Client Management: Building opportunity assessments for state-level markets, defining the prioritized roadmap for initiatives, and partnering with senior leaders at the health plan to shape a realistic implementation plan.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitoring network performance metrics, identifying gaps, and implementing solutions to enhance service delivery. The role requires balancing cost-effectiveness with high-quality outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with internal teams - including analytics, operations, and executive leadership-to align network strategies with broader organizational objectives. Regular interaction with leadership ensures strategic priorities are met.
  • Innovation and Growth: Driving initiatives like platform launches and solution enhancements to meet future demands. Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes is key to success in this role. Building process within our teams to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Provider Engagement: Collaborating with providers to strengthen relationships and improve value. This includes working on initiatives such as provider scorecards performance benchmarking to ensure transparency and performance improvement.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate has 3-5 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, healthcare analytics, or other comparable setting
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, including a mastery of Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to translate complex analyses into executive-level insights
  • Experience in external-facing roles for client delivery, relationship management, and/or solution deployment
  • Ability to be nimble and dynamic in setting priorities and adjusting project plans that impact both short-term outcomes and long-term strategy
  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, and able to manage projects independently
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple, competing priorities
  • High sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working in evolving problem spaces
  • Excited by the idea of building infrastructure and strategy in a fast-growing, complex company
  • Deep analytical judgment and ability to distinguish signal from noise in complex datasets

Our goal is to foster a workplace where everyone feels a true sense of belonging, is supported, and empowered to thrive. We actively seek different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences-because we believe that drives better performance and innovation. We're committed to identifying and removing barriers for the communities we serve.
