We are currently seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise network engineering, design, testing, and deployment within a secure, large-scale federal IT environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the design integrity, performance, and security of wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), wireless environments, DNS infrastructure, enterprise network tools, and cloud connectivity. The Lead Network Engineer will provide high-level technical expertise, guide engineering efforts, and ensure that network solutions are resilient, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the engineering, design, testing, and deployment of enterprise network infrastructure
  • Maintain the architectural integrity of WAN, LAN, DNS, wireless, and cloud-connected environments
  • Design secure and scalable network solutions supporting data centers, enterprise facilities, and cloud platforms
  • Provide expert technical guidance to engineering teams and government stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier 3 network issues
  • Support secure integration with commercial, private, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Develop and maintain detailed design documentation and technical requirements artifacts
  • Participate in configuration and change management processes, including preparation and presentation of change requests
  • Ensure network implementations meet security, compliance, and performance requirements
  • Conduct testing of new hardware/software releases to ensure compatibility and stability
  • Support technology refresh initiatives and network modernization efforts

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in network engineering and design
  • 5 years of experience supporting federal environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field. 
    • 10 additional years of network engineering and design experience required in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise networks
  • Strong expertise in WAN, LAN, DNS, wireless networking, and enterprise network tools
  • Experience integrating enterprise networks with cloud environments
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues
  • Experience designing secure network architectures aligned with government security standards
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) and enterprise security controls
  • Experience with network automation and software-defined networking technologies
  • Strong documentation skills and experience developing detailed design documents (DDDs)
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $117,232 - $195,388. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
