JOB SUMMARY:
This position will work directly with the Infrastructure Services IT team. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the Dolese network infrastructure. As part of Infrastructure Services team, the Network Engineer will work closely with other members of the team to assist with the successful implementation of other technologies and systems that impact the network infrastructure at Dolese.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS, SD-WAN) - Experience with VoIP is a plus
  • Monitor network resources and perform scheduled updates/patching/reconfigurations as needed to ensure system availability and reliability
  • Recommend and implement network security tools, practices and procedures
  • Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve network and security issues
  • Create and maintain a detailed diagram of the network infrastructure
  • Provide support for VoIP environment and perform upgrades/maintenance to system as needed
  • Assist with regular cleanup/maintenance of server room racks, switches, cabling for the Dolese main locations and field sites
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining wireless networks at Main office and field sites (including 802.11, wide-range wireless networking products, & Cradle Points)
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the work site or assigned work location.
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/Education/Skill
  • Previous experience in IT as a Network Engineer/Administrator (5+ years)
  • Firewall and Switch management - (Experience with Sophos and Cisco a plus)
  • Experience with Intrusion detection systems and software
  • Proven hands-on experience with network engineering and architecture
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, VoIP, SD-WAN, DNS, WAN, WLAN, SAN, & HSRP)
  • Certifications preferred, CCNA or CCNP and Network+
  • High attention to detail and works well under pressure
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter with a sense of urgency and a willingness to communicate openly with the team
  • High organizational skills and prioritization of tasks is needed
  • Experience with Network/Cyber Security and similar supporting technologies
  • Experience with cabling best practices (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, Coax, etc.)
  • Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as requir

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift, push or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight frequently
  • Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing / sitting / walking
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and specific vision abilities including close vison, distant vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
