Job description

Shields Facilities Management, LLC (SFM) is hiring a Field Manager to perform site visits, inspect property conditions, and keep service execution moving across customer locations. This role is well suited for someone who works independently in the field, communicates directly with customers and internal partners, and adapts quickly as priorities shift from site to site.


This is a remote position; however, candidates based in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida are preferred.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage field visit requests and schedule site visits and meetings with appropriate vendor partners and customer contacts
  • Communicate schedules, visit details, and updates to internal operations team members
  • Conduct site inspections across service areas such as landscaping, snow management, and parking lot sweeping and maintenance
  • Check in with customer contacts on site, review adherence to scope of work, and identify opportunities to improve site appearance or address safety concerns
  • Walk properties, document issues, coordinate follow-up with service partners, and capture photos using required software
  • Prepare inspection reports, weekly field visit summaries, quality scores, and expense reports using designated tools and systems

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple site visits and follow-up tasks
  • Clear, direct communication with customers, service partners, and internal team members
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with changing schedules and field-based priorities
  • Practical judgment when identifying service issues, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities
  • Ability to document findings accurately using required software and reporting tools

Other Requirements

  • Facilities maintenance experience required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel skills are a plus
  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer and an updated smartphone; print/scanner optional
  • Ability to Travel via car and plane as needed.
  • Consistent travel required
