Community & Events Manager Position
As the Community & Events Manager at NRG Adventure Park, you are the driving force behind unforgettable events and strong community connections. You'll lead the events team, coordinate and execute birthday parties and group events, and serve as the face of NRG in the local community. Your creativity, organizational skills, and passion for guest service will ensure every event is a hit-and that NRG Adventure Park is a beloved part of the neighborhood.
Essential Job Functions
  • Event Management
  • Oversee all aspects of birthday parties, group events (field trips, business functions, church outings), and custom celebrations from booking to completion
  • Manage, train, and schedule the party host team and event support staff
  • Serve as the main point of contact for event clients-communicate details, confirm bookings, and answer questions
  • Coordinate event logistics including room setup, food and beverage orders, activity scheduling, and special requests
  • Ensure all events meet NRG standards for safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
  • Work closely with kitchen, front desk, and operations teams to deliver seamless event experiences
  • Monitor event feedback and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Upsell event packages, add-ons, and future bookings where appropriate
  • Track event metrics, manage budgets, and report on event performance to management
  • Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, non-profits, and community organizations
  • Organize and promote fundraising events, community days, and outreach programs
  • Represent NRG Adventure Park at local events, fairs, and networking opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase community involvement and brand awareness
  • Coordinate with marketing to promote community initiatives and events through social media and other channels
  • Support custom event planning for community-based organizations and non-profits
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, community engagement, or guest services required (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences
  • Proficient with event management software, POS systems, and basic office applications
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
