Location: Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday through Friday

Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Contract Duration: July 6, 2026 through December 31, 2026


We are seeking a Sr Manager Business Affairs Music to support the features division. This role is heavily focused on music agreements, rights management, Airtable tracking, and coordination with music attorneys on production, licensing, and clearance matters.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various work for hire music production agreements for Paramount’s features division alongside music attorneys
  • Manage the Attorney Status Report in Airtable as deal memos and agreements are sent, comments are received, agreements are executed, and payment status updates occur
  • Manage Airtable status charts for clearance and licensing
  • Prepare and review restriction memos related to score, original songs, and source music used in Paramount film releases
  • Review and approve payments as first round approver for work for hire, licensing, and music production agreements
  • Serve as point person for music data tracking and asset management systems including ONSet, Airtable, Trevanna Tracks, and iManage
  • Review music licenses and clearances as needed
  • Conduct database research in ONSet
  • Handle music work for hire document requests from the Paramount features marketing team alongside music attorneys
  • Handle podcast music work for hire document requests from the Business Development team alongside music attorneys


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of entertainment industry experience
  • Music business affairs or music legal experience strongly preferred
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation experience
  • Experience handling music licensing, clearance, or work for hire agreements
  • Airtable experience highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Paralegal certificate or legal training preferred


Pay Range: $52.42 to $57.42/hr.
