Description:

The Children’s Music Assistant is a part-time position and will help the Associate Director of Worship & Music and Children’s Choir

Directors ensure smooth operations for the Children’s Music department. This position will work closely

with the children and serve as a substitute when needed.


Essential Duties

  1. Attend children’s choir rehearsals and performances and assists with monitoring the children to ensure Safe Sanctuary compliance
  2. Serve as substitute when Associate Director or Children’s Choir Directors can not attend rehearsal or performance
  3. Oversee and assure maintenance, care, and tracking of all children’s music ministry property (music, robes, instruments, etc.)
  4. Travel locally with children to special events, when needed
  5. Assist with room set up and break down
  6. Greet parents, answer questions, and respond to inquiries

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in other church activities and events as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Working toward college degree in music or education

Experience:

  • No experience required
