Job description

Republic Services is a proud industry partner of the Department of War SkillBridge Program and we're ready to assist transitioning veterans find their next career! SkillBridge permits you to use up to the last 180 days of service to train and learn with an industry partner. During SkillBridge participation, you continue to receive military compensation, and you are covered by your military benefits. Release for SkillBridge is always mission-dependent and your unit Commander must authorize participation prior to entering into any agreement with interested industry employment partners.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Municipal Coordinator acts as the face of Republic Services to members of the public, as well as commercial/industrial business owners in our municipal contracted cities. The Municipal Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of community events, school engagements, public education or recycling education throughout their market, to position and grow the Republic Services brand, as well as comply with municipal contract obligations. The role and tasks completed by the Municipal Coordinator are directly connected to our goals of being a good neighbor and differentiating the Company in the communities that we serve, making the Municipal Coordinator a vital member of the Municipal team. The Municipal Coordinator reports to the Manager, Municipal Sales.

Rewarding Compensation and Benefits

The Department of War (DOW) SkillBridge program is for transitioning military members during their last 180 days of active duty. Military members who are selected for the program are not employed by Republic Services or compensated by the Company. The DOW will continue to maintain the military member's current rate of pay and benefits while in the SkillBridge program.
