Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

You will play a key role in shaping our workforce by designing and delivering impactful training programs that support both new hire onboarding and seasoned professional certification.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging technical training sessions, product demos, and certification programs using up-to-date materials.
  • Coach new employees through the assembly process and lead onboarding classes to ensure a strong start.
  • Partner with departments to assess training needs and create customized, impactful learning experiences.
  • Design, update, and continuously improve lesson plans and course content to align with new products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with HR and other teams to ensure training strategies are relevant, compliant, and aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with sheet metal and/or composite materials, with a strong background in training, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and comfortable using eLearning authoring tools like Articulate or Adobe Captivate.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Subject matter expert with experience in instructional design (e.g., ADDIE) and motivating, engaging learners.
  • Familiar with multimedia tools for video/audio content creation (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Audition).
