Position Summary
The A&S Interdisciplinary Science Cooperative'sTransformation Network Program is seeking a creative, detail-orientedMultimedia Assistant to help bring impactful stories to life throughdocumentary-style short films. This position is ideal for a student who ispassionate about visual storytelling and enjoys crafting compelling narrativesthrough video editing while working within established branding and productionguidelines.
The successful candidate will be able to balance directionfrom a mentor with independent initiative, manage multiple deadlines, maintainstrong organizational skills, and communicate effectively throughout theproduction process. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required, includingexperience with color correction, audio mixing, and integrating primary footageand b-roll into a cohesive and engaging story.
Applicants should have prior hands-on experience editingvideo projects in Adobe Premiere Pro and demonstrate an ability to transformraw footage into polished visual content that connects with audiences.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist with tasks as needed based on the demands ofassigned project.
• Willingness to learn, ability to take constructivedirection and apply feedback, excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time managementskills
• Work with various members of the research group, includingother undergraduate researchers, graduate researchers, and the PIs.
• Meet with the PIs and other members of the team, asneeded, and check and respond to email and other messaging platforms on aconsistent basis.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to meet in person and via Zoom for regularscheduled meetings.
• Excellent writing and communication skills and excellentattention to detail.
• Access to a computer with sufficient graphics capabilitiesto operate Premiere Pro reliably.
• Prior experience of video editing experience in a similarsetting
Preferred qualifications:
• At least one year of video editing experience in a similarsetting
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe PremierePro.
• Experience with color grading and audio mixing.
• Understanding of cohesive narrative structure and pacing,and ability to effectively integrate b-roll to support storytelling
