About the Position: Serves as the Operations Project Manager (OPM) for the Kaskaskia Navigation Project which includes the Jerry F Costello Lock and Dam, 36 miles of channel, 2,900 acres of public lands, recreation visitor access areas, campgrounds, threatened and endangered species, forest management, operations and maintenance buildings and grounds, and outreach and education programs. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing natural resource outreach initiatives for the general public, stakeholders, and/or external agencies; assisting in the development of natural resource programs, management plans, and/or program budget; and establishing work schedules, manpower requirements, and/or project priorities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
