Familiarity with ERP/MRP software systems like SAP or Oracle, and sometimes APICS certification, is typically required. What is an MRP (Material Requirements Planner) and what do they do?

An MRP, or Material Requirements Planner, is a professional responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operations have the necessary materials and components available at the right time and in the right quantities.
