Receptionist Position

Excellent, morning opportunity - Monday thru Friday, 7am to 12pm. No weekends or holidays required.

Easterseals Crossroads provides services designed to help remove social and physical barriers so that people with disabilities and their families have more opportunity to live inclusively and equitably. We provide top-quality, family-focused, innovative services tailored to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.

Summary

The afternoon receptionist handles all phone calls and walk-in visitors and inquires. This includes coordinating information, communicating with staff and visitors, handling providing assistance and ensuring a pleasant experience for consumers, their families, and other professional staff.

What You'll Do
  • Answer the phone, greet visitors in a professional, courteous manner, route calls, take and deliver messages
  • Schedule and reschedule consumer appointments
  • Promote Easterseals Crossroads' services to callers (potential consumers, physician offices and other referral sources)
  • Type documents and email, make copies, send information via fax; scan documents into electronic medical records
  • Receive and secure mail or deliveries, respond to e-mail, sort incoming mail
  • Schedule appointments, update calendars
  • Maintain the environment including the waiting room, treatment rooms, kitchen, gym, restrooms, and staff offices and monitor and restock supplies as needed to leave the office environment ready to serve consumers the following day
  • Implement the safety and security plans and procedures in conjunction with the Easterseals Crossroads
Education and Experience
  • One year of previous administrative assistant or receptionist experience preferred
  • Post high school education a plus
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations, trilingual in Spanish, ASL, and English a strong plus
  • Prioritize competing demands and organize tasks
  • Learn new technologies and programs
  • Provide excellent customer service
