Part Time Receptionist

As a global ministry, we are seeking a Christ-centered Part Time Receptionist who is called to be part of our team and skilled to help increase Faith Life's global reach. If this sounds like your ministry calling, keep reading to see if we're a match.

The Receptionist serves visitors and guests with excellence at Faith Life Church by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately and provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The ideal Receptionist has a passion for administrative responsibilities, a strong work ethic, and is a natural organizer. Our receptionists are the first impression of Faith Life Church, some may say they're the face of the ministry when you walk in the door, so this person must love taking care of guests no matter what other tasks lie before them and feel completely comfortable praying for someone in need. Ensuring all guests, whether in person or via phone, are provided with the most excellent experience is our goal for this team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone and direct incoming phone calls and emails
  • Greet, check-in, and assist visitors, walk-ins, and appointments
  • Sign for, organize, relocate and notify staff on packages that arrive, per courier services
  • Coordinate mailing of books and Welcome Letters to first time guests
  • Assist with relevant mailings, such as Baby Dedication & Baptism certificates
  • Ensure outgoing mail is in place for pick-up
  • Assist in weekday room rental scheduling
  • Carry out weekend guest services responsibilities, including but not limited to, worship guide and first-time guest packet assembly, hand out t-shirts to new guests and answer questions for our guests
  • Order & manage inventory of supplies for Welcome Kiosk
  • Maintain, update and distribute staff phone list
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to control inventory stock in bathrooms and nursing mother's room
  • Oversee the organization of the Conference Room
  • Document, revise & maintain Welcome Kiosk processes and procedures
  • Assist Pastoral Care and Operations with relevant tasks as needed (ie: mailings, reporting, assigned tasks in the database)
  • Make coffee on weekday mornings for staff and visitors
  • Assist other staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of administrative or support role
  • Proven track record of effective time management
  • Ability to quickly learn and excel in the use of technology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google Docs
Physical Demands:
  • Standing for 4 to 6 hours during weekend services
  • Lifting items up to 25lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mail merging
  • Front desk or guest services experience
  • Familiarity to Faith Life Church and our model of ministry
