Job description

Located in central Ohio, our headquarters are nestled in the beautiful town of New Albany. We are known worldwide for advancing the Kingdom through media, daily television, church campuses, and educational resources. We have a passion to help people experience what God has for them through telling stories of life transformation that have a world impact.
As a global ministry, we are seeking a Christ-centered Elementary, Middle School and High School Substitute who is called to be part of our team and skilled to help increase Faith Life’s global reach. If this sounds like your ministry calling, keep reading to see if we’re a match!
Our Kindergarten through 12th grade substitute teacher is responsible for facilitating the education of K-12th grade students while their primary teacher is unavailable. The ideal candidate will successfully lead the learning process of all subjects required for this age group. This position is responsible for instructing on the curriculum and ensuring all relevant duties are maintained and managed.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the education field
A Current Ohio Teaching License, or a Permanent Non-Tax Certification- One Year of Teaching Experience
All Guardian Academy Staff Members will be asked to comply with both BCI and FBI background checks.- Attends in person or online one weekend service weekly.
Excellent communication with students, parents, teachers, and staff- Excellent organizational skills
Flexible in fulfilling needs of Guardian Academy when needed (i.e., covering another class if able) and adaptive to last-minute changes
Demonstrate the ability to receive and apply constructive criticism.
Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and calm under pressure and during change
Highly motivated with the ability to work and complete tasks unsupervised
Solution-oriented and a creative problem solver
Time Requirements:
- The Guardian Academy school day for teachers is Monday through Friday 7:45am to 3:45pm. A substitute would need to be available to work these hours.
