Job description

LOCATION:

Grand Cane, LA

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs work related to operation, maintenance, and repair of plant and compression equipment, including processing plant equipment, pumps, gas and refrigeration compressors, coolers, electric generation, dehydration equipment, and control systems. Presents a positive and professional image to customers, vendors, employees, and the public. May be required to work a scheduled shift during weekends, holidays, commissioning, outages, and plant startup when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs routine operation, maintenance, and repair of plant and field equipment, including compressor equipment, coolers, separators, and control systems; and performs routine operating checks, adjusts, maintains, and repairs as required for efficient operations.
  2. Utilizes preventative maintenance system to prepare and strictly carry out the maintenance schedule based upon manufacturerโ€™s recommendations and industry accepted guidelines for each piece of operating equipment.
  3. Submits requests for parts, services, and materials to supervisor.
  4. Prepares accurate written and computer reports as required of all maintenance and repair work.
  5. Performs or supervises major overhauls of equipment and assists with the construction of new facilities.
  6. Assures all facilities are maintained in a weed-free, clean, and painted condition and on a maintenance schedule to minimize downtime, lost production and maintain a safe operating environment.
  7. Directs contract labor when necessary and monitors the activity of third-party representatives when present on company sites.
  8. Adheres to all Safety requirements in all aspects of the work and participates in program development and reviews.
  9. Maintains good working relationships with company managers, coworkers, clients, contractors, and the public.
  10. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.
  11. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in engine and compressor operation, maintenance, and repair. The six-year requirement may be modified depending on qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of gas compression equipment, coolers, dehydration systems, positive displacement and centrifugal pumps.
  • Waukesha and Caterpillar maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working experience operating, repairing, and maintaining Ariel compressors required.
  • Working knowledge and the ability to use precision tools required for the installation and maintenance of high-speed rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electronic engine/compressor control systems, gas detection and emergency shut down system, operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge and skill using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook, and Maximo.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Company's vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test, and will be subject to random, for-cause, and post-accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Must pass a background check.
