The main responsibilities of a model home sales greeter include answering phone calls promptly, arranging onsite walking tours, greeting potential buyers, building relationships, and being an excellent host or hostess, all while providing an informative tour of a model home. This includes giving details about the construction process, the builders, benefits of the community, lot sizes, floor plan options, mortgage programs, customization, and more. You are a salesperson, so it’s important to create urgency while showing off the best features of the homes and community. Following up is imperative for this job, as well as handling any complaints, researching competition, and conducting market research. After the sale, you assist with settlement to help buyers adjust to their new home. Your employer may also hold weekly sales meetings.
