Garage Ambassador / Valet
Pacific Center Downtown Portland
Full Time Tuesday - Friday 9a-7p
$18.00 Per hour

The Parking Safety Ambassador provides a welcoming, service-focused presence while supporting the overall safety, traffic flow, and operational awareness of the parking facility. This role emphasizes guest assistance and observation and report safety functions, including mobile patrols using a company vehicle. Also, the role requires facility awareness, with limited security duties such as observation, reporting, and incident documentation. The Facility Safety Ambassador does not perform enforcement, physical intervention, or law enforcement duties.
  • Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner 
  • Assist guests with parking questions, directions, and locating their vehicles 
  • Educate guests on parking policies and assist with pay machine operation 
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests, clients, and teammates at all times 
  • Escalate guest concerns or operational issues to the Shift Lead or Operations Manager 
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to promote safe and efficient flow 
  • Assist with traffic control at entrances and exits as needed 
  • Perform vehicle counts to ensure parking areas do not exceed capacity 
  • Support daily parking operations as directed by management 
  • Conduct regular rounds of parking facilities, including garages, lots, and surrounding areas 
  • Perform mobile patrols using a company vehicle as assigned 
  • Observe and report safety hazards, fire risks, equipment issues, unauthorized people, or suspicious activity 
  • Complete basic incident reports for damages, thefts, claims, or safety concerns 
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead 
  • Assist with basic upkeep and minor troubleshooting of parking equipment as directed 
  • Monitor facility conditions and promptly report maintenance or safety issues 

  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to observe, document, and report incidents accurately 
  • Ability to follow procedures and escalate concerns appropriately 
  • Prior experience in customer service, parking, hospitality, securityadjacent, or facilities roles preferred but not required 
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Flexibility to work all shifts.  
  • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the EVerify program to confirm employment eligibility. 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, sometimes for the entire shift 
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly 
  • Ability to remain alert, mobile, and professional throughout the shift 
WORKING CONDITIONS:  
  • Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of a shift, harsh weather conditions: excessive heat, cold, and inclement weather.  
  • This position thrives on consistency, with repetitive tasks that ensure everything runs like clockwork.
