Responsibilities

Responsible for the independent performance of technical procedures, including emergency and routine patient testing, quality control, and preventive maintenance. Participates in Quality management processes as needed. Qualifies as a General Supervisor designate, per CLIA, in the absence of the Section Supervisor or Manager.


Requirements
  • A B.S. and successful completion of an accredited MT/MLS program.
  • A B.S in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science including a Laboratory training program or accredited by the ABHES, NAACLS or
  • HHS sanctioned reviewer, ASCP accreditation or equivalent.
  • A B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science degree that includes 60 semester hours of medical lab technology courses or other sciences as specified by CLIA. 5 years experience in a licensed Clinical laboratory.
  • M.T. or MLS (ASCP) preferred
  • Core Lab (Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis). Evening shift covers Central Lab Microbiology; Night shift staff is required to cover Blood Bank and Stat Microbiology.
