Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing product quality across manufacturing and field operations. This role monitors in-process and pre-shipment quality, manages field-reported concerns, drives root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to improve product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout manufacturing and ย ย prior to shipment.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, specifications, ย and procedures.ย 
  • Partner with production teams to identify defects and implement ย ย corrective actions.ย 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field-reported quality ย concerns.ย 
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and ย ย coordinate resolutions.ย 
  • Monitor shipping-related issues, including short shipments, ย mis-shipments, and damaged goods.ย 
  • Partner with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to implement ย corrective and preventive actions.ย 
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality, service, and shipping ย performance data.ย 
  • Maintain quality reporting dashboards and performance metrics.ย 
  • Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.ย 
  • Identify trends and implement continuous improvement projects.ย 
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality standards, ย ย processes, and procedures.ย 

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, or a ย related field preferred.ย 
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, metal fabrication, roll forming, ย ย construction materials, or building products industries preferred.ย 
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, production ย ย machinery, and quality control processes.ย 
  • Strong experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving ย methodologies.ย 
  • Familiarity with shipping, warehouse, and logistics processes ย preferred.ย 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.ย 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.ย 
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.ย 
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred.ย 
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process ย improvements.ย
