Provide services and support as a Certified Mindfulness For Instructor/Facilitator [Complementary and Integrative (CIH) Wellness & Well-being Services] in the Healthcare And Life Sciences Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) | Veterans Health Administration (VHA)  Generally Located In CONUS - USA (Virtual) and across the CONUS - VISN 5 Region: Maryland, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia, along with parts of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky Region (Of Country/World).

ProSidian Virtual Wellness & Well-being Services through Mindfulness For for Continuous, Wellness And Well-Being offers Certified Mindfulness Instructors for Complementary and Integrative (CIH) Wellness and Well-being Health Approaches Used with Conventional Medicine as Part of a Strategy for Integrative Health. This program activity is part of a coordinated method for health and wellness services that combines traditional care and complementary techniques in a holistic, patient-centered model, focusing on well-being, healing relationships, and evidence-based practices. We offer access to livestream (interactive) and recorded virtual online wellness activities as part of a continuous, wellness-focused program, fostering resilience and reducing burnout by providing wellness resources that improve quality of life, lower stress, and support whole-person care.

Mindfulness For courses/instructions/facilitations are delivered through a secure, easy-to-use online platform that ensures simple navigation and a smooth experience for users of all technical skill levels.  Certified, experienced instructors will lead all sessions, customizing content to meet the needs of diverse abilities and special populations, including older adults, prenatal participants, and individuals with mobility or balance challenges.  Mindfulness is a continual practice of maintaining moment-to-moment awareness of thoughts, emotions, sensations, and the environment, fostering a non-judgmental presence. It can be practiced informally in daily life-such as eating, walking, or working-by fully engaging in present experiences. Mindfulness employs focused attention techniques like breath awareness and visualization, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress, and enhancing cognitive clarity and emotional regulation. These practices cultivate mindfulness as a teachable quality of consciousness, often deepened through formal meditation. Ultimately, mindfulness integrates intentional awareness into daily activities and decision-making, promoting mental resilience and holistic well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Certified Mindfulness For Instructor/Facilitator | Mindfulness For [VHA0013012]

  • Facilitate virtual and/or recorded sessions via a secure platform.
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based wellness experiences aligned with VHA Directive 1137 and the Whole Health Initiative.
  • Customize sessions for populations with special needs (e.g., elderly, veterans with PTSD or mobility impairments).
  • Maintain cultural sensitivity to veteran populations.
  • Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and a supportive online environment.
  • Track attendance where needed and contribute feedback for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with VISN-5 stakeholders for custom wellness programming (events, staff days, etc.).
  • Support VHA's goals for improved well-being, stress reduction, and burnout mitigation.
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Certified Mindfulness For Instructor/Facilitator | Mindfulness For [VHA0013012] (VHA0013012) Candidates:

  • Active certification in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution or board.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (if applicable to physical wellness modalities).
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA, patient privacy, and telehealth practices.
  • Understanding of CIH (Complementary and Integrative Health) principles.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in virtual facilitation or equivalent in-person delivery.
  • Strong technical proficiency using digital wellness platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, custom VA platforms).
  • Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant field training or workshops in veteran-centric care, trauma-informed delivery, or CIH practices.
  • Experience with veteran populations or government/VA services is highly preferred.
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher Certification (e.g., UMass, Brown University).
  • Certified Mindfulness Teacher - Professional Level (CMT-P) through International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA).
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training for coaching mindfulness skills.
