Job Details

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Floor Manager to join our Front of House team. The Floor Manager is responsible for aiding service with a variety of duties from service training, hosting, expo, guest relations, wine sales, and special event planning.  
We are looking for someone with experience, passion for hospitality, a creative can-do mentality, and the ability to take coaching.

Floor Manager Roles and Responsibilities
    • Purport a culture of cohesive teamwork throughout each shift; be involved
    • Keep track of progress in newly hired staff, specifically in regards to skill sets and attitude
    • Maintain composure and mindfulness when coaching team members
    • Hold service team to the standards laid out in our training.
    • Ability to learn wine knowledge and to coach new staff on the beverage program
    • Organization and execution of expo station
    • Running the front at the host stand, with, or in place of a host;
    • Appropriately pacing service for optimal experiences not simply for cover counts or servers financial gain
    • Supporting our team through delegation as well as hands-on help;
    • Handling any issues that arise with guests in a thoughtful and professional manner;
    • Handling any issues that arise with team members in a mindful and professional manner;
    • Expediting food effectively at the window;
    • Keeping eyes on all functions of service, including marking, running food, striking, side work, seating, bartending, wine service, etc…

Floor Manager Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably BA in a related field.
  • Relevant Work Experience: 3+ years of related food, beverage, and/or service experience.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven capabilities to lead, inspire, and manage team performance effectively. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, ability to utilize stairs regularly, stamina to work 40 hours+ per week.
