Overview
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Gilchrist Forest Products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Responsibilities
  • Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications for accurate high-speed operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
  • Work in conjunction with maintenance and operations staff to maximize machine center performance and improvements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in various parts of the mill.

Experience
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is required (at least 2 years).
  • Journeyman or welding certification is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
