Who You Are

The ideal Mill Supervisor is a strong communicator and problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment. You’re a hands‑on leader who supports your team, maintains high operational standards, and ensures safety, quality, and reliability in every shift.

What You’ll Do

As a Mill Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality milling operations while leading and developing your team.

  • Ensuring compliance with GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, and HSE guidelines.
  • Maintaining the facility in a continuous audit‑ready condition.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for milling process issues, troubleshooting, and operational problem‑solving.
  • Acting as a technical resource for supervisors and operators.
  • Overseeing wheat receiving, cleaning, transfers, and general mill housekeeping.
  • Managing daily production schedules and run plans.
  • Supervising shift personnel and administering corrective action when needed.
  • Supporting mill operators and team leads to maintain production flow.
  • Collaborating with logistics on scheduling and shipment concerns.
  • Managing staffing, employee call‑offs, and shift coverage.
  • Training operators on equipment, safety, and SOPs.
  • Handling attendance, performance discussions, and employee development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Milling, Engineering, EHS, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with union‑represented employees (preferred).
  • Strong communication, reasoning, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heights, weather, temperature variations, airborne particles, and wheat allergens.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb, kneel, twist, and lift 50+ lbs.
