About This Role

As an engineering project leader, you are responsible for leading electronic control projects from initial planning through execution and closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives while supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining initiatives.Working in a matrixed organization, the project leader partners closely with engineering, product management, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and external suppliers to develop executable project plans, manage risks, and drive accountability across the project lifecycle. The project leader also plays a key role in continuously improving project management standard work, tools, and processes to enable consistent, predictable project delivery. Strong communication, ownership, and the ability to balance technical, schedule, and cost considerations are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead endtoend execution of engineering projects, from requirements definition through validation and production/release
  • Coordinate development of product/project requirements thru customer and product engineering to create an executable project plan
  • Monitor progress and proactively address scope, schedule, cost, and technical risks
  • Drive timely decisionmaking and escalation when needed
  • Prepare and present technical and project updates in a clear and concise manner

Role Purpose

  • Lead crossfunctional engineering projects from concept through launch, ensuring technical integrity, schedule adherence, cost control, and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for projects... communicate status, risks, trade-offs, and decisions clearly
  • Drive projects to predictability and speed - leverage existing data sets and track project deliverables to enable continuous improvements and risk optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, and project execution methods

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Science, technology, engineering or mathematics preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required by project needs
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering experience
  • 3 + years leading engineering projects and programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven project leadership experience through completing multiple projects cradle-to-grave.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience leading customerfacing or externally funded projects
  • Foundation in software or hardware design engineering of electronic controls
  • Experience running projects with production via contract manufacturing
  • Strong communication in a global matrix organization w/ stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, sales, customers, et al

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
