Job Summary:

As the Military Account Manager โ€“ Federal you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by expanding strategic relationships across U.S. civilian federal agencies, including law enforcement and intelligence organizations. You will support our customers by providing exceptional customer service and aligning our supply chain capabilities to their unique needs. You will also coordinate heavily with both internal teams and supply chain, establishing Dealer of Record opportunities and maintain accurate and detailed data on customer needs and opportunities.

Requirements

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales opportunities by proactively working with U.S. civilian federal agencies end-users to understand their needs and objectives while strategically aligning our solutions to meet those needs.
  • Establish Dealer of Record relationship with supply chain partners and negotiate best possible margin.
  • Expand customer base by researching and identifying opportunities of existing customers and uncovering and developing new customer relationships and networks throughout the federal sector. Conduct follow-up on leads generated via marketing campaigns and internet inquiries.
  • Collaborate internally across all supporting resources and teams to ensure customer satisfaction, swiftly address any concerns or issues, and provide feedback on areas of opportunity.
  • Maintain detailed documentation within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software on customer activities (needs, priorities, opportunities, constraints, etc.).
  • Travel requirements for this position are extensive. Expect approximately 50% of the time to be spent traveling to military bases, attending trade shows, industry events and conferences to expand networks and foster relationships to generate leads for new opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date and informed on new product and industry developments and emerging trends of the Military and/or Federal customers and the associated supply chains.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Higher education preferred. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of supporting federal law enforcement, homeland security or intelligence agencies. Familiarity with facility operations, training environments and tactical / logistics equipment a plus.
  • Knowledge of military and government bid process and procurement helpful. Driverโ€™s license required.
  • Strong desire to work with and support all military services incompletion of their missions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional presentation skills. Must have a professional demeanor displaying the ability to build rapport and develop meaningful relationships with all branches of the military.
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature with a strong sense of accountability that takes initiative to resolve challenges.
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure value for all parties involved.
  • Exceptional research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information in ways to support a solution.
  • Ability to be mobile and willingness travel by land and air as needed.
  • Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
  • Demonstrates strong team building qualities such as collaborating with internal departments and suppliers
  • PC proficiency in CRM software (SalesForce) and Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Holds U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card holder).
