Position Summary

The CWLNG Technical & Physical Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all daily physical and technical security operations at the construction site. This role ensures the site remains safe, secure, and controlled through effective execution of access management, perimeter protection, surveillance systems, and guard force oversight.

The position combines hands-on field security responsibilities with coordination of technical security systems, requiring strong expertise in both physical security operations and electronic security infrastructure. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining control over restricted areas, monitoring site activity, and ensuring that all personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with site security protocols.

This role works closely with project leadership, subcontractors, HSE teams, and external agencies to proactively identify and mitigate risks, respond to incidents, and support emergency response activities. The Technical & Physical Security Supervisor also contributes to the continuous improvement of security procedures, training programs, and system performance to ensure protection of personnel, assets, and sensitive project information.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

Oversee daily security operations including access control, restricted area monitoring, and site security enforcement

Monitor and evaluate performance of security guards, including feedback and disciplinary actions

Manage schedules, workflows, and assignments of security personnel

Conduct regular site inspections, walk-throughs, and security assessments

Support implementation and maintenance of physical and technical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)

Troubleshoot and maintain security equipment including cameras, gates, intercoms, and network infrastructure

Support design, testing, and implementation of security systems across construction and site facilities

Conduct security training and inductions for employees and contractors

Respond to and manage security incidents on and off site

Participate in emergency response activities and serve as acting officer during assigned shifts

Leadership / Management Responsibilities

Supervise contract security teams and provide administrative and technical guidance

Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and site teams to address security issues

Support continuous improvement of security procedures, policies, and protocols

Provide leadership in maintaining a secure working environment for personnel and assets

Liaise with external agencies and internal departments on security matters

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

Implement and enforce security and risk mitigation protocols

Ensure compliance with site security policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Monitor access to sensitive and restricted areas including equipment, offices, and data systems

Maintain proper documentation, incident reporting, and audit readiness

Support emergency management protocols and response coordination

Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational security standards

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in physical and technical security, law enforcement, military, or industrial security

Hands-on experience with CCTV/VMS, access control systems, alarms, and perimeter security systems

Experience supervising contract security teams

Experience working in large construction sites or critical infrastructure environments

Strong working knowledge of security procedures, incident response, and reporting

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field

Certifications such as PSP, CPP, Security+, or similar

Experience with systems such as Genetec, LenelS2, Milestone, Axis, HID

Familiarity with FEMA ICS / NIMS frameworks

Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
