Ability to work remotely: No - role requires on-site presence at Army installations to conduct assessments
Job Summary
OSG is seeking a Physical Security Specialist to evaluate installation physical security programs, assess access control systems and perimeter security, and evaluate intrusion detection systems and security technologies. This role inspects barriers, fencing, lighting, locks, and protective measures; reviews physical security plans and procedures; evaluates compliance with Army physical security regulations; identifies vulnerabilities; and develops physical security corrective action recommendations across Physical Security, Access Control, Security Engineering, and Vulnerability Assessment functional areas.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Evaluate installation physical security programs.
  • Assess access control systems and perimeter security.
  • Evaluate intrusion detection systems and security technologies.
  • Inspect barriers, fencing, lighting, locks, and protective measures.
  • Review physical security plans and procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance with Army physical security regulations.
  • Identify vulnerabilities affecting installation protection.
  • Develop physical security corrective action recommendations.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, Engineering, Military Science, Emergency Management, or a related discipline. Additional directly related military or Federal experience may be substituted for education requirements where contractually permissible.
  • Army or DoD Physical Security Programs.
  • Installation access control and perimeter security.
  • Security engineering and protective systems.
  • Vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
  • Physical security inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Executive reporting and technical documentation.
  • Development of corrective action recommendations.
  • Required Certifications: Active Secret Security Clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I; Antiterrorism Level I Awareness; FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and ICS 800.
  • Clearance Level Required: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Certifications: Physical Security Professional (PSP); Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC); Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC); Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; Top Secret clearance or eligibility.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Work is performed in both office and field environments, including on-site assessments at Army installations. Must be able to walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods while touring facilities and grounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during site assessments.

Travel
  • Extensive travel required (up to 75%) to conduct physical security assessments at Army installations across CONUS.
