We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer (Mid-Level) to support a high-impact federal program delivering performance-driven IT services and scalable cloud-based enterprise solutions. This position plays a critical role in enabling agile development in a cross-functional team environment, building modern, cloud-native applications, and integrating workflow and rules technology across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the integration of rules and workflow technologies across applications
  • Contribute to a team of 10+ developers using agile development practices
  • Collaborate with technical leads and external application teams to ensure delivery excellence
  • Work independently to resolve issues, execute tasks, and improve code performance
  • Stay current with modern tools, techniques, and technologies-particularly cloud services
  • Apply creative thinking to design scalable solutions for complex system requirements
  • Mentor and provide support to junior developers as needed
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • BA/BS and 8+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree and 6+ years of experience, or
  • 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must be eligible to pass CBP Background Investigation
  • Agile development experience
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with technical implementations across multi-team environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Java (JDK 21+)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS services
  • Familiarity with rules engines and workflow management tools
  • Understanding of TDD/BDD development methodologies
  • Continuous Integration/Deployment experience
  • Exposure to AI coding assistants and modern development toolchains
  • Additional languages: Python, JavaScript
  • Messaging technologies: Kafka, ActiveMQ, SQS, SNS
  • Web services and REST API development
  • In-memory data stores: Redis, Memcached, Elasticache
