Job description

The Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer role we are currently hiring for focuses on creating new features and migrating existing functionality to support our mobile application. This work spans our full technology stack — Golang (back-end server), Vue (front-end web), Swift (iOS), and Kotlin (Android) — as part of our in-house customer experience platform. This position requires SQL expertise and experience in building and interacting with APIs. Prior mobile development experience is a bonus, though we welcome candidates who are eager to learn mobile development in a fast-paced environment. Please note that there will be no direct customer interaction for this position.
Rapidly growing software company in San Fernando, CA (over 22,562 companies use our GPS tracking software) is looking to add a mid-level Developer to our team.
Benefits include a 401K with company matching, a 50% employer contribution to the most affordable medical insurance plan, and 12 paid holidays and paid time off.
The position is an IN-OFFICE position, and after a couple of months getting grooved in it will move to a HYBRID position, with two days required in the office per week.
We'd like to add a developer with enough experience that you'll be comfortable jumping straight into the saddle - but also someone who is interested in CONSTANTLY LEARNING AND IMPROVING and SELF-MONITORING with excellent QUALITY CONTROL ON YOUR OWN WORK. We want a developer who is RESPONSIBLE and will add amazing code and feedback and teamwork to the company.
This position is for a cross-platform team. Our stack includes Golang and MySQL for the server, Vue.js for the web front-end, and Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) for mobile — both mobile platforms use SQLite for local data storage.

If you've already learned multiple languages, switching to Golang should not be too hard. We've had many developers switch over and if they have object-oriented programming experience, it's pretty straightforward.
Testing for this position will include testing on a back end language like Go or C# or Java or Python, and a front end language like JS.
The job will grow, and you need to be ready to grow with it. We want you to grow into a senior developer during your time here, and become an indispensable part of our small team.
All applicants will need to take a pre-employment Drug test and do a Background check.
We are a small team of brilliant software engineers, looking to add more. We're an eight-year-old software company, with a 40-year-old parent company. Management is closely involved and makes sure that only the most vital and strategic development projects are handled by our tight development team.
We're now ready to take on more developers, to each work with one of our highly skilled developers in our Los Angeles office (in the city of San Fernando).
If the idea of a challenging position with tons of responsibility doesn't sound fun, then please don't apply for this position. If you think you could progress to senior level senior developer status with a bit of coaching and some experience, we might be the perfect place for you.
We're doing most of our development in Golang, Vue.js (Vuetify library), MySQL, using AWS servers, and are almost done replacing a legacy PHP system, but familiarity with PHP would still be a plus.
Most important is that you have skill and experience with software development, understanding of core concepts, experience working with these different languages, a burning desire to continue learning and master your craft, and are able to play nice with others.
