Job Summary 

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Administrator with hands‑on experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is responsible for the administration, security, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 platform, with a strong emphasis on tenant‑to‑tenant integrations, identity consolidation, data migrations, and post‑merger operational stabilization.

The ideal candidate has operated in complex, enterprise environments, understands the technical and organizational realities of M&A, and can partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless integrations. 

Responsibilities

  • Microsoft 365 Platform Administration
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, and M365 security/compliance features
  • Manage tenant configuration, licensing, identity lifecycle, access controls, and service health monitoring
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including Conditional Access, MFA, role‑based access control, and privileged identity management
  • Support automation and administration using PowerShell and Graph API
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration
  • Lead and support M365 integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Plan and execute tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, including:
  • Exchange Online mailboxes
  • OneDrive and SharePoint content
  • Teams and collaboration workloads
  • Design and implement identity consolidation strategies, including directory synchronization, account matching, and domain transitions
  • Partner with Security and Legal teams to ensure data governance, retention, and compliance requirements are met during integrations
  • Support Day‑0, Day‑1, and Day‑2 M&A readiness activities, including cutovers, coexistence, and post‑integration stabilization
  • Develop migration runbooks, rollback plans, and post‑merger operational documentation
  • Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex M365 issues
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Security, and Application teams
  • Participate in change management, incident response, and problem management processes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior administrators and support teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration experience in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting M&A activities, including tenant integrations or divestitures
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint Online / OneDrive
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and administration
  • Solid understanding of identity management, security, and compliance concepts
  • Experience working in hybrid identity environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with third‑party migration tools (e.g., Quest, BitTitan, ShareGate)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, retention, and information protection
  • Experience working in regulated or global enterprise environments
  • Microsoft certifications such as:
