Job Title: Microsoft Office 365 Developer
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Sr. Director of IT
Job Function: The Microsoft Office 365 Developer will be responsible for building, customizing, and supporting solutions that improve collaboration, document management, and workflow automation across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset to deliver sustainable solutions for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online architecture and site structures.
  • Configure document libraries, metadata, content types, retention labels, and records management policies.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows using Power Automate and related Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Build and maintain Power Apps solutions to streamline operational processes.
  • Establish and enforce governance, security, and compliance standards within Microsoft 365.
  • Implement role-based access controls and permission structures to safeguard sensitive data, including PII.
  • Migrate documents and data from legacy network drives and personal storage locations to structured SharePoint environments.
  • Ensure version control, audit trails, and lifecycle management of enterprise records.
  • Collaborate with departments (HR, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, etc.) to analyze business processes and design technical solutions.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and support to promote adoption and best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Support hybrid and mobile workforce access without reliance on legacy VPN systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience administering and developing solutions in Microsoft 365.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Knowledge of document management systems, data governance, and records retention policies.
  • Experience migrating data from legacy file systems to cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and access control management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Power Platform.
  • Experience working with regulated data environments involving PII.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide governance frameworks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud collaboration environments and enterprise content management.
