Join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 9th from 4-6:00Pm and Friday, September 11th from 10Am-12Pm. You will learn more about our Shake Shack positions and all of the benefits of working for PENN Entertainment!
The informational meeting will be located in the back-of-house area of the casino. It will not take place on the casino floor.
How to attend:
When you enter from Miami Street, take a right and drive around the building until you pass the loading dock area. To your immediate left there will be a large outdoor parking lot. Park and walk to where the building meets the parking garage structure. There is a door labeled "Team Member Entrance". Enter there and press the buzzer to the left of the second set of doors. Let the Security Dispatcher know you are here for the Shake Shack hiring event and they will direct you from there.
  • Providing fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to team members and guests.
  • Maintaining current and accurate information regarding food items (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients)
  • Preparing food items per guest order as required including, but not limited to, breakfast items, entrees, and desserts according to guest request
  • Employing proper cooking methods, cooks to specifications, and handling, storing and rotating food properly in accordance with established health and safety standards
  • Slicing, dicing, chopping, and preparing raw products
  • Carving meats, portioning food on serving plates, adding gravies and sauces, and garnishing plates as required
  • Wiping counter areas, sinks and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation
  • Maintaining cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards
  • Maintaining par levels of operating supplies and food product for each workstation obtaining replacement stock from warehouse inventory in accordance with procedures
  • Operating and maintaining all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
  • Providing personalized service and using guests' names when possible
  • Knowing and promoting current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years prior experience as cook in high-volume food service operation
  • Must be able to obtain Serve Safe certification
  • Kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Required to taste and smell foods
  • Knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yield
  • Possessing and maintaining culinary tools (knives) to perform the necessary job functions
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Working required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Meeting professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • Responding to visual and oral cues
  • Working in constricting areas and tolerate areas with high temperatures
  • Tolerating industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing
  • Working at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
  • Maintaining a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and upholding company appearance/dress standards
  • Must stand for long periods
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
