Chipton-Ross is seeking a Merchandise Operations Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
Must have related work experience
Strong ecommerce and systems experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & operations support
Track inventory levels and flag low-stock items
Support reorder preparation and documentation
Maintain accurate inventory records across systems
Shopify & system hygiene
Set up and maintain SKUs and product information in Shopify
Update inventory counts and product details as directed
Support basic operational tasks related to web store upkeep
Receiving, organizing, and tracking
Receive incoming samples and shipments
Label, log, photograph, and organize physical merchandise and samples
Maintain clear records of sample status and locations
Swag & fulfillment coordination
Assemble swag kits and VIP gift packages
Coordinate shipping and delivery logistics
Support event-related merchandise prep as needed
Documentation & organization
Maintain shared folders, trackers, and documentation
File vendor documents, spec sheets, invoices, and approvals
Keep operational information accessible and up to date
Research new products and vendors for future merch releases
Authority & accountability
Owns execution of assigned operational tasks
Authorized to manage day-to-day operational workflows
Accountable for accuracy, organization, and follow-through
Escalates issues, blockers, or discrepancies to the Project Manager
