The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is dedicated to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. We seek a skilled Office Secretary to provide essential administrative support at our elementary school site.
 





Job Summary
The Office Secretary - Elementary provides secretarial support to the school site, including managing records, compiling and distributing materials, and responding to inquiries. This role is crucial for maintaining effective school operations and ensuring administrative efficiency.
 





Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting Attendance:

    • Attend department and in-service meetings to gather and convey information.
  • Financial Transactions:

    • Collect payments for events, fines, and fundraisers, ensuring accurate processing.
  • Communication:

    • Communicate with employees, departments, administrators, parents, and the public to provide information and assistance.
  • Data Management:

    • Compile and prepare data for reports and process various requests
  • Project Coordination:
    • Manage assigned projects and activities, including material distribution and arrangements for meetings and travel.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain inventory of office supplies and materials.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain manual and electronic files and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
  • Clerical Support:
    • Perform general clerical functions such as scheduling, copying, faxing, data entry, and handling mail.
  • Documentation:
    • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials for documentation and information conveyance.
  • Document Processing:
    • Process documents and materials in compliance with administrative guidelines.
  • Research:
    • Research topics related to department operations for informed decision-making.
  • Inquiry Response:
    • Respond to inquiries from various parties, facilitating communication and providing direction.
