Job Summary

The Lab sales team focuses onsellinghigh-quality Cardinal Health Brand Laboratory Products and Services tailored for every lab discipline, including custom kitting and distribution servicesintohospital and independent labs. TheSalesConsultant, Laboratory Products& Distributionhas theresponsibility for growing Cardinal Health Brand,Preferred National Brand products& distribution servicesin these facilities.This individual will take the lead role in deliveringcomplexbroad-based portfolio of solutions that meet customer needs andbuildsandsustainsrelationships withcurrent and new accounts.Our Cardinal Health Laboratory team is deeply knowledgeableintothe clinical lab industry and the challenges it faces, including increasing complexity, workforce shortages, budgetconstraintsand evolving supply chain requirements.Our comprehensive product offering is continuously expanding to meet the requirements of ourcustomers,and wesupport theend-to-endtesting workflow with products for every lab discipline, including custom kitting solutions, capital equipment and pointofcare options.

Territory:Atlanta - South Georgia

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a large territory with the directobjectiveto increase account penetration, and customer satisfaction within the labspace.

  • Drivenew business, providingoptimalservice, targeting Cardinal brand conversion opportunities and growth across the lab products portfolioanddistributionservices.

  • Collaborates both internally and externally within various business units such as key contacts within national accounts,GPO ,and other vendors toarchiveresults.

  • Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management,includingaccount planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, dealeconomics.

  • Negotiates contracts locally, including costing agreements with manufacturers.

  • Ensuresoptimalservice levels and holds internal teams accountable for customer service, operations, pricing, inventory, etc.

  • Validates that contacts are loadedin a timely mannerand that contracts are back dated correctly and that the integrity of the contract is maintained.Submits and processes all account maintenance for customer accounts within the internal system.

  • Provides technical supportonproducts such as providing demonstrations of products, samples of products and conductingtrainingsofstaff.

  • Complete all administrative tasks & training including expense reports,pipeline,maintainaccurateSFDC records, market feedback, etc.

  • Attend andparticipatein sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed. Attend all regional, divisional and sector events including National Sales Meetings.

  • Maintain required sales activity level - examples include the number of expected visits & calls, number of products presented/account, etc.

  • Assistsdistribution order support and coordination as needed.Assistcustomers with back-orders and other related service issues

  • Maintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape including, GPO's, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, competitive products, etc.

  • Travel within assigned territory to call on accounts including overnight travel. Maintain active, in-person presence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Previoussuccessfulsales experience in distribution or healthcarepreferred,lab experience beneficial.

  • Lives within the managed territory (lives within 30 minutes of city where largest prime vendors arelocated)

  • Experience working with Microsoft applications and other CRM tools (i.e.salesforce).

  • Understands the sales process in afaced paced,highly complexselling environment

  • Must be experienced with business development and cold calling

  • Strong organizational skills&business acumen

  • Demonstrate history of high achievement and coachability through new challenges

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed

  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record

  • Customer/Vendor credentialing isrequired(this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.

Anticipated pay range:$128,000 - $157,800 (includes targeted variable pay)
