Job description:
We are hiring an experienced Medical Coding Specialist with acute care, inpatient, and ED coding experience. The ideal candidate will have strong ICD10 knowledge, coding expertise, and experience with 3M/HDS coding applications.
Shift: Shift Time:8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Job type: 1-2 weeks onsite for training and later remote
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate medical coding for inpatient and emergency department records
- Apply ICD10, CPT-4, and federal billing guidelines
- Review and research coding-related issues
- Ensure coding compliance with payor and regulatory standards
- Support coder training and documentation accuracy
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- CCS certification required
- RHIA or RHIT preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICD10 coding experience
- 3M Experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Encoder, and coding systems
- Inpatient and ED coding experience required
