Certified Medical Coder
Location: Spokane, WA 99205 (Remote)
Company: AllMed Staffing, Inc.
Job Type: Full-Time Contract

AllMed Staffing is hiring experienced Certified Medical Coders to support a Department of Veterans Affairs contract. This fully remote position supports the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center and requires coding expertise across inpatient, outpatient, observation, surgery, and prosthetics encounters within the Oracle Cerner Electronic Health Record system.

Candidates must hold an active coding credential and possess strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review and code inpatient, outpatient, observation, surgery, and prosthetic encounters.
  • Apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.
  • Maintain coding accuracy and productivity requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
  • Identify documentation deficiencies and coding opportunities.
  • Work within Oracle Cerner and related healthcare systems.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience.
  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient coding.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Experience with Oracle Cerner preferred.
  • VA or federal healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and documentation review skills.

Pay Rate

$35.00 to $45.00 per hour
