The Organization

Francophone Charter School of Oakland is a French immersion charter school that opened its doors in 2015. Our mission is to provide a dual-immersion curriculum to a diverse community of students and to develop bilingual and bi-literate global citizens who are open minded and who value intellectual curiosity, personal integrity and creativity. We are a small (350 students in TK-8), tight-knit international community that is looking to expand its staff. No knowledge of French is required for the positions posted here.


Summary of Positions

We are looking for support for our after school program.

After School Instructor: Under the supervision of the after school coordinator, responsible for planning, leading, and implementing academic and enrichment programs and experiences for students enrolled in the program at one of our campuses (Transitional Kindergarten-2 grade and 3rd-8th grade); we are hiring staff at either sites); develops positive relationships with students and is responsible for the general safety of students in the program.

  • Plan, design and lead high-quality academic and enrichment lesson plans. Provide homework assistance.
  • Identify and respond to student behavior through restorative practices.
  • Establish and maintain professional, collegial relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned/required by the supervisor.
