Job Purpose:

Our Sales Trainee role is tailored for individuals at the entry-level who are enthusiastic about building a career in sales. As a Sales Trainee, you will receive extensive training with our Customer Service, Operations and Sales teams to acquire the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful sales career. This position involves working closely with an experienced Sales Representative who will provide support and contribute to the development plan aimed at transitioning this position into a Sales Representative role within a 24-36 month period.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in training programs to learn the products, services, and sales techniques.
Shadow experienced Sales Representatives to gain practical experience in the field.
Learn to identify potential customers and understand their needs and preferences.
Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations to potential customers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolve these, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.
Schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant information into the customer relationship management system after each contact to create a call plan and ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure the work adheres to those standards.
Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently. Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).

Education:

High School Diploma Preferred

Physical Requirements:
A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
