Job description

About US:
CWILL (pronounced "quill") is a post-purchase and retention suite built for Shopify & DTC brands. Reduce support tickets, recover lost revenue from returns, and turn one-time buyers into loyal fans - with tools purpose-built for every touchpoint after the sale.
The Role
We're hiring someone to own social end to end: set the strategy, build the channels, and lead the function as it grows.
Be clear on what this is: for the first stretch, you are the strategy and the execution. You'll be writing, filming, posting, and in the comments yourself. You'll build the team out from there as the channels prove out. If you want to manage rather than make, this isn't the right fit.
What You'll Do
• Channel strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Reddit etc- what we play to win on each, what we skip, and how each ladders up to pipeline.
• YouTube from zero- format, cadence, production approach. Merchant education and product storytelling, not brand fluff..
• Reddit, done credibly- showing up as genuinely useful in the communities where Shopify merchants and agencies actually talk. You know why brand accounts get banned and how real practitioners earn standing instead..
• Organic visibility in AI search- building the kind of presence that gets us cited and recommended by AI assistants, not just seen by humans.
• A content engine that doesn't scale by headcount- using AI tooling to produce at a volume that would have taken a team of five two years ago.
• Reporting on what's working- what drives reach, engagement, anddownstream pipeline, and killing what doesn't.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
• ~5+ years in social media, with a track record you can walk us through - channels you grew, from what to what.
• Hands-on Reddit experience.Be ready to talk specifics: which subreddits, how you built credibility, what got removed and how you handled it..
• Hands-on YouTube experience- you've built or substantially grown a channel, and you understand the format and retention mechanics, not just uploads.
• Senior, but still a maker. You've operated as an individual contributor recently and you're good with that being the job for a while..
• Fluent with AI tooling for content production- you have opinions about what to automate, what not to, and where quality breaks.
• Excellent written English and a real voice- B2B SaaS social dies from corporate tone; we'd rather sound like people.
• Comfortable in ambiguity- this is a startupfunction. Nobody is going to hand you a playbook..
Nice to have
• Experience in the Shopify or ecommerce SaaS ecosystem.
• On-camera comfort, or experience directing founders and execson camera.
• Worked across distributed teams.
Benefits
Starting Pay: 80-120K + Bonus, depends on experiences, open to negotiation
401(k)
PTO
Paid Holidays
Insurance
