Job description

Bar Manager — Mavericks Beach Club

Mavericks Beach Club is looking for a high-energy, charismatic Bar Manager who knows how to build a winning team, drive great service, and create an atmosphere that guests and employees want to be part of.

This role is about much more than managing a bar. We are looking for someone who can drive the culture behind the bar, facilitate programming, elevate the energy of the venue, and develop a team that takes pride in winning together.

The right person understands that attitude, energy and hospitality are contagious. You should be someone who enjoys being on the floor, engaging with the team, coaching in real time and setting the tone for the shift.

What we're looking for:

  • A natural leader who brings energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Ability to create and maintain a strong bar culture and team mentality
  • Passion for delivering fast, friendly and engaging service
  • Ability to coach, motivate and hold the team accountable
  • Work with management to develop and execute programming, promotions and events that create energy and drive business
  • Recruit, train and develop bartenders and barbacks
  • Build and maintain effective schedules based on business needs
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development
  • Establish and maintain strong training standards and operating procedures
  • Understand beverage costs, inventory, controls and overall bar profitability
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, presentation and execution
  • Lead from the floor and set the pace rather than manage from the sidelines

Mavericks is a high-energy beach club, and we want our bar team to be a major part of what makes the experience special. We're looking for someone who can bring people together, create momentum and make the team better every day.

If you're passionate about hospitality, love developing people and know how to turn a group of bartenders into a winning team, we'd like to meet you.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience.
