Job Summary

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting material provisioning activities to ensure timely and accurate availability of materials required for production and internal operations. This role acts as an operational link between materials planning, provisioning technicians, logistics, and production, ensuring material flow, data accuracy, and adherence to provisioning plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily material provisioning activities to support production schedules and internal demand.
  • Work closely with Provisioning Technicians to ensure timely execution of material requests, replenishment, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor material availability, shortages, and delivery status, proactively escalating risks or delays.
  • Support material planning by translating requirements into executable provisioning actions.
  • Perform and validate material transactions in ERP systems related to material issues, receipts, transfers, and consumption.
  • Maintain accurate materials data and documentation, ensuring consistency between physical stock and system records.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to balance material availability and inventory targets.
  • Communicate material status, priorities, and constraints to planning, logistics, and production teams.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy activities in coordination with warehouse and materials teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on provisioning efficiency, material flow, and execution discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with internal supply chain procedures, safety standards, and material handling rules.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in materials coordination, provisioning, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
  • Basic understanding of material planning, inventory management, and provisioning processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with provisioning or materials technician roles and workflows.
  • Knowledge of MRP concepts and material replenishment processes.
  • Experience supporting material availability and service level KPIs.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
