Job Overview:

COMPANY PROFILE

Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of site materials and incoming/outgoing shipments and will be the main contact for any Materials related questions (freight information, tracking shipments, incoming inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, shipping coordination, etc.).

Location: CNRL Horizon (Maintenance)

Shift:7/7 compressed shift

Transportation: Flights provided from Edmonton/Calgary, AB

Accommodation:Camp provided

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform budget development, progress measurement, cost forecasting and preparing monthly internal and client benchmark/milestone reports for mid to large scale projects.
  • Supervise the offloading of materials from carrier
  • Inspect materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specification
  • Document and report the receiving inspection in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE Program
  • Identify and tag non-conforming material and quarantine as necessary
  • Organize, verify, and file all receiving and vendor documentation
  • Ensure materials are stored and maintained in a suitable manner and environment
  • Document the withdrawal of materials for use on-site
  • Prepare and load finished goods/materials for shipment
  • Complete appropriate documentation and update materials database prior to shipment of goods/materials
  • Perform periodic materials inspection to verify material counts, conditions, location, and status

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in shipping/receiving/stores capacity
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or the Petro-chemical industry

SKILLS

  • Superior knowledge of pipe, fittings and valves
  • Familiar with "Bagging & Tagging" or "Kitting" process
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with a formal QA program
  • Computer skills
