Job description

Acloché is hiring in the Columbus area!
Great opportunity for those with metal work experience and materials processing skills.
Job Position: Materials Processor
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour - $34.00 hour based on experience
Shift: 1st shift 8:00am – 4:30pm
Position Summary:
Materials Processor is responsible for timely breakdown and sorting of metals at the only fully enclosed metal recycling facility in Columbus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Grade and sort metals based on composition, using following equipment:
- Schear/Torch/Plasma/Lance Rod/Sledgehammer
- Use of bobcats, forklifts, material handler, brickers & bailers, crane
- Assess customer deliveries
- Record for materials being shipped out
- Awareness of safety and environmental risks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- 3+ years’ experience in scrap yard preferred
- Metals experience and knowledge – ferrous v. non-ferrous
- Customer service skills
- Basic computer skills/data entry
- Basic math
- Be able to identify different types of metal
